This story is breaking, we are updating.
And Digg kept up the poaching game popular in the Valley, stealing Matt Williams from Amazon, his home for more than a decade, for their CEO slot.
This concludes Digg’s executive shuffle, from Jay Adelson, to Kevin Rose, and now to Williams, who we suspect will be a long term fixture at the company.
This announcement is not a surprise, Rose himself hinted before that a new CEO was just around the corner. Kevin will return to his previous role as Chief Architect.
More as it comes.

I hope Matt Williams have a super learning curve because Kevin Rose just handed him a very hot potato.
Congrats Matt for the new assignment. Best Wishes for a bright future at Digg
Regards,
Philip
Kevin didn’t rule the roost long, but I can’t say he improved the situation. Some are calling Digg “dead”, but that’s probably premature. I would say “dying” is accurate, however. Here’s hoping Matt improves the situation
He’s a brave man to come in with the site in meltdown.
Indeed.
Entering during diggrevolt is brave of him.
Brave guy. Digg is dead to me. Good luck with this mess. I spent hours a day at Digg and now? About 10 minutes per day at most.
I wish him success. I hope he treats Digg’s users better. Our loyalty was not respected.
I just tried to submit this but, “an unknown error occurred.” Marvelous, it must be that damned broken axle again.
Brave brave guy. Kevin Rose did nothing but cause digg to meltdown faster. This company has raised a crap load of money and has yet to accomplish one thing. With small niche sites like http://stock.ly springing up, they have to be very worried.
