On Monday, the British Royal Family will be your next Flickr friend.

Well now, here’s something you don’t see every day.

According to Yahoo! News, the Britsh royal family will now have a Flickr account. Queen Elizabeth II will be showing off family photos, as well as images from around the House of Windsor on hte popular photo site.

The goal is to help reinforce the online presence of the Palace. Thus far, we’ve already seen Twitter and YouTube accounts, so this is a logical next move. The site, according to Yahoo! will “stream the latest images of royal engagements, as well as contain historic photos from the archives”.

At launch, there should be some 600 photographs ranging through ancestry to present day. Each family member will have its own gallery, and each member will also have their own folder.

Comments, predictably, will not be enabled for the royal photographs, however you will be able to embed and share them.
