These ASCII art prints put some ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ on your wall

Back in the day, when computers didn’t have graphical interfaces yet, people had to come up with creative ways to display pictures on their screens. That turned out to be ASCII art.

By using the letters and symbols they had available, early computer users were able to create crude images of anything they wanted.

Some of them would be beautiful pieces of art, and others would just be images of naked people.

Then bitmaps came along, and we were suddenly able to display pictures made up by pixels. ASCII art wasn’t needed anymore.

For $25 you can choose between different designs including ‘real’ artworks and ASCII emoji, also known as kaomoji. These are emoticons made up of Japanese characters, like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ and (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻.

There priced might be on the high side, but the prints seem like a fun gift for geeky design lovers.

But if you couldn’t care less about the price point, there’s also a ‘Rich Kids of ASCII’ poster with an image of a hundred dollar bill. It costs, you’ve guessed it, $100.
