Play multiplayer TRON over SSH with this fun little hack

TRON Legacy is still one of my favorite movies and basically any mention of it automatically makes the Daft Punk soundtrack start playing in my head.

Now there’s a tiny but amazing little game based on the original TRON’s lightcycles that you can play entirely via SSH. It’s fully multiplayer and works with your WASD keys.

Another conference. “Great.”

This one’s different, trust us. Our new event for New York is focused on quality, not quantity.

SSHTron is open-source and was built over just 20 hours at a hac -day called Brickhack in Rochester, New York.

All you have to do to start playing the lovely ASCII game is open up a terminal and copy in `ssh sshtron.zachlatta.com’ to get your own lightcycle.
