A bug in Google Now (and Google Translate) spits out some fairly amusing dialog if you ask it ‘what is a Giraffe’. It appears to be a glitch having to do with ending an open-ended phrase in ‘with’ which appears either translation or input. For instance, you can use the phrase ‘filled with‘ and get similar results in Google Translate. The issue popped up in an entry on Google Code and made its way to Hacker News. As the commenters on the GC thread point out, the source is most likely this article, which may have been used to train the parsing of the voice-recognition system backing these products. Either way, ha ha.
