BarbieBot: Ditch the blonde and make your kid wish she was a robot

No joke: Created by Tal Avitzur of Talbots, this BarbieBot made of a vintage voltmeter, gas filter, glass cupping jar, metal scrap yard objects, marine cleats and color changing LEDs could be yours if you’re willing to cough up at least $650.

Although my instincts tell me I don’t have enough spare cash to pick one of these gems up, my inner geek says it’s worth it — if I want to see my future daughter playing with completely wild robotic sculptures instead of lame, anatomically-confusing Barbies.
