Article should be named: “How big is the World Wide Web?”…
@Peter Huesken :)
@Peter Huesken You are right, of course, but for about 99,9% of all people there is no distinction between the two…
@Boris @Peter Huesken And this is an infographic, not a PhD thesis. You have to balance simple/complete
@Alex Wilhelm @Boris So basically the two of you are argueing that an infographic with the titel “How big is the World Wide Web” woild not be “as simple”…Maybe time to rename your conglomerate to TheNextInternet?

I hate to say it, but this is hardly an infographic. I was expecting something visual– a “graphic”. Really, really not impressed, TNW. That said, love the site otherwise!
The problem with this is that so many of those registered domains are owned by people who buy and sell them, and have one page at best. The 10 pages per domain figure is better. Most adsense sites have between 10 and 20 pages, in fact, 10 pages is the standard for one of those sites. I would say that 10 out of every 20 domains I look for is a holding page.
So wait…are you saying that nobody KNOWS for SURE how much is on the web? That is very disturbing…to say the least.
I found so many interesting stuff in your blog especially its discussion. From the tons of comments on your articles, I guess I am not the only one having all the enjoyment here! keep up the good work I think it is very useful and knowledgeable, happy to see some people still have interest in this.
