Clever minimalist business card design? Or too confusing for a non-geek?

[...] It took me about 10 seconds but I finally got it. This card design is absolutely smart – minimal and a conversation starter. @tmarente also suggested a QR code for the card. That would most definitely be the icing on the cake. Amplify’d from thenextweb.com [...]

I love it! My card also just has my email address and phone number.
Beautiful! I love it! If your entire business is on the web, this does it all, simply and cleanly.
Brilliant! It’s definitely a clever minimalist design and one would guess that if the person receiving the card was unfamiliar with the terminology, they wouldn’t need the card to reach his website?
Some people (like me) will adore it, some won’t get it. Overall I think you’ll come out ahead.
How can you not understand this?
This is owesome man! Simple but cool!
I say both!
Sorry, it doesn’t say what you do. Will probably lose it as I won’t remember why you gave it to me.
Loves it.
Those who don’t get it are not your target market anyway. Go for it.
Where can you put the cell phone number ? :p
Very, very cool!
Great idea, bit gimmicky, but about time the biz card was reinvented!
This is absolutely brilliant. I was looking for a new business card design and I have just found it. This not only displays all your relevant information but it is such an excellent conversation starter.
@tmarente — mentioned to me that having a QR code would make this complete — I totally agree!
Honestly, you don’t need a cellphone number. It’s a convention to have one, but today you don’t need it.
I disagree, there is no conversation on the web that can substitute a phonecall…
Thanks all, glad you like it :)
Clever, but I’m a geek and it even took ME a few minutes to figure it out….
10/10. I was thinking of just putting my twitter handle on my business card. Instead I’m going to completely rip off your idea. And give you credit on my blog.
not everyone is a geek…… but nice design
Facebook and blog?
Interesting card :)
Very creative. The question was asked whether the card would make sense to non-geeks, but I don’t think that matters. If the audience Boris is targeting is related to his field of work, they’ll get it. And that’s all that matters, right?
