We still have to wait until October to see if “The Social Network” will turn out to be good or not. However, when you have a nearly assured customer base of half a billion, that’s a pretty good start.
From IMDB:
On a fall night in 2003, Harvard undergrad and computer programming genius Mark Zuckerberg sits down at his computer and heatedly begins working on a new idea. In a fury of blogging and programming, what begins in his dorm room soon becomes a global social network and a revolution in communication. A mere six years and 500 million friends later, Mark Zuckerberg is the youngest billionaire in history… but for this entrepreneur, success leads to both personal and legal complications.
Director David Fincher has a great cast for the movie, and regardless the trailer looks promising:

Is this going to be a real movie? :|
Based on the true story behind the ceation of Facebook… YES
i saw on FB that some guy named Reznor was doing the music
That would be Trent Reznor, of Nine Inch Nails.
Are you kidding me?
don’t tell me you don’t know who Trent Reznor is
Looks like it could actually be pretty entertaining.
I’m looking forward to what they could actually do with this..
i agree with patrick, when i first heard of this i laughed, but with a cast like that, it could be not bad.
I wanna see this…!!
Zuckerberg can kiss my ass. Deleted my fb acct 3 months ago.
What a complete waste of time FB was.
Go out and live life, instead of looking at everyone else’s.
if it wasn’t being done by Sorkin and Fincher, I’d say “eh”. But it is, so I’m expecting a pretty good, maybe great, movie.
Fast Company is searching for 2010′s Most Influential Person Online. You are more influential than you think. http://fcinf.com/v/as4f

That was a little intense. I’m excited to see it though!
@T.A. Henry – FB is a only a tool just like a telephone – it doesn’t separate people it brings people closer together. I’m not including you, but people who have this view that Facebook is detrimental to social lives probably aren’t capable of holding sustainable social lives, and so from their point of view social networking sites are genuinely not good for them. FB is only a tool, those with the capacity to hold a decent social life use it as that, but those who suffer with social situations can on occasion take advantage of the tool and rely too heavily on it, eventually recognising their situation and concluding it’s the tool’s fault not their own.
Miley Cyrus recently denounced the internet in favour of non-digital communication, and there’s a more in-depth discussion here http://stvnhp.net/2010/05/17/why-miley-cyrus-is-ruining-the-internet/ on why your offline life and your online life aren’t actually separate, and it’s deeply concerning that anybody would think otherwise.
The previews look creepy indeed and the guy playing Zuckerberg even creepier. lol. But yes! i’m going to go see it.
Why in the world would Trent wanna do the music for this? I’d see it purely for that!
lame
This actually doesn’t look bad, Brenda Song is it, and is that Justin?!
The music behind “The Social Network” Trailer was in fact done by the Belgian Girls choir: Scala & Kolacny Brothers – Http://www.Scalachoir.com
No captions for the deaf and hard of hearing? EPIC disregard for 36 million Americans.
A very nice movie. No so dramatic but some good performances.
