The DLD Conference heads to moscow with top-notch speakers in tow

The Digital-Life-Design (DLD) conference is making a leap into emerging markets to hold an event at the end of the month in Moscow.

Naturally, Russia’s digital giants will be in attendance; Dmitry Grishin, CEO of Mail.Ru, Pavel Durov, CEO of Vkontakte and Arkady Volozh CEO at Yandex will take to the stage to deliver talks as well as entrepreneurs and creative minds from the global DLD community making an appearance.

The conference has a truly international flavour, Italian designer Lapo Elkann, known for his work with Fiat, Matt Michelsen of Lady Gaga’s Littlemonsters and Japanese architect Kazuyo Sejima will be giving talks during the event.

So who else can attendees expect to hear from? Well, as DLD is the international conference and innovation platform of Hubert Burda Media it’s no surprise that its CEO Paul-Bernhard Kallen will give a talk. The conference is presented in partnership with the Skolkovo Foundation and so Viktor Vekselberg, president of the foundation will also be speaking.

An astonishing list of tech innovators is enough to whet the appetite for anyone more interested in digital life in places other than Silicon Valley. Maele Gavet, CEO of Ozon, Russia’s Amazon, Gene Sokolov, Head of Badoo in Russia, Oskar Hartmann, CEO of Russian online shopping service KupiVIP, Jens Meurer, producer of the film ‘Russian Ark‘ and many others will step up to share their thoughts on the current state of digital living.

Meeting the Russian market

DLD says that this is the first conference of its kind in Russia and that of the 400 guests expected, 300 come from abroad. More than 50 million Russians use the internet, making the country a dynamic digital and consumer market, so it’s no wonder that there is a lot of excitement for companies and individuals attending.

DLD Moscow will take place in the Digital October Center in the heart of the capital so if attendees find a free moment in the hectic schedule of networking and speakers, there is plenty of cultural activity nearby. The event runs from May 27-29.

Based on past events, DLD Moscow is bound to be something to look forward to. The conference is already renowned as a highlight in Europe and Israel as well as running events in Palo Alto, New York, Rio de Janeiro and Beijing.
