Geolorean: The Check-In Aggregator for the iPhone

Geolorean: The Check-In Aggregator for the iPhone

*Brand New Geo App Alert*

If you are a geo service addict with friends on multiple networks, one of the biggest annoyances is having to bounce back and forth between Foursquare, Gowalla, and Brightkite to see what’s going on.

Check.in solves the publishing piece – you can now push your check ins to multiple services.

But what about if you just want to see where your friends from multiple networks are checking in?

Enter Geolorean.

Geolorean is an extremely simple service that lets you see all of your friends’ check-ins on Foursquare, Gowalla, and Brightkite in a single stream.  As a nice touch, developer Andrew LaVoy included a tab with Check.in, so you can also push your check-ins to multiple services.

I’m not sure how many people are faced with the problem of active friends on multiple geo networks, but I certainly was.

This is an app that I will use.

And it’s an app that might get really useful if we see the rise of some vertical geo apps.
