T-Mobile won’t be acquired by France’s Iliad

Attempting to purchase T-Mobile has been all the rage lately. The latest company to try and fail is Iliad. The French company announced today (PDF link) that it was dropping its bid for the carrier.

Iliad states that at the end of July 2014, it offered to purchase 56.6 percent of the carrier and the T-Mobile board rejected the offer.

Iliad is the third company to attempt to purchase T-Mobile. Sprint was reportedly close to an acquisition but that fell through and AT&T pulled its bid after learning that an administrative law judge would review the merger.
