Samsung announces the Galaxy Ace 3; LTE, Android 4.2, 4-inch screen, 1 GHz dual-core processor

Samsung has announced another addition to its Galaxy range after it announced the Galaxy Ace 3, a new entry-level smartphone that will support LTE in certain markets.

Running Jelly Bean (Android 4.2) and powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor, the Ace 3 sports a 4-inch display and a 5-megapixel camera on the back. There is a front VGA camera and 4GB of internal memory, which is expandable with a micro-SD card.

Actually, in this case, Samsung does interested parties a favor by noting that the Ace 3 provides approximately 1.77 GB of usable memory, so a memory card is definitely a must for those who intend to go heavy on apps and multimedia content.

Camera shooting comes with a range of Samsung software, including Sound & Shot, Best Photo, and Buddy Photo Share. A selection of regular Samsung bloatware software is available too: including S Translator, S Travel guides and info and the S Voice voice command system.

Right now there is no pricing or launch plans, but we do know the phone will not support 4G in selected markets, which suggests a variant will retail in emerging markets where — running Jelly Bean — it could offer a compelling experience on a budget if priced competitively.

The Galaxy S4 is Samsung’s top of the range device, and it passed 10 million shipments in just one month to become the firm’s fastest selling device ever. Samsung hasn’t wasted time adding to its range, and in recent weeks it has unveiled two new Galaxy Tab 3 devices, the Galaxy S4 active, and the Galaxy S4 mini.

More details for the 3G version of the Ace 3 are in the charts below.
