Samsung begins rolling out Android 4.1.2 Premium Suite update to Galaxy S III devices in the UK

Slowly rolling out around the world, Samsung has brought the Android 4.1.2 update to the UK, giving owners the chance to enjoy Premium Suite features that were first included on the Galaxy Note II, which launched earlier this year.

The update, which can be downloaded over-the-air (OTA) or via Samsung’s KIES software, brings the Note II’s multi window feature to the Galaxy S III, offering users the chance to run apps side-by-side at the same time, as well as improvements to Samsung’s own apps – including Paper Artist, Samsung Gallery and Group Cast.

With the new Jelly Bean update installed, the Galaxy S III will also gain smarter rotation recognition, the ability to tag friends, locations and dates to different pieces of media and files, and Auto Share Shot Pairing – which allows photos to be shared over an NFC ‘bump.’

Samsung has also improved its Best Photo feature to launch ‘Best Face’ which provides a choice of five shots from which to choose from, allowing users to choose the best face of each person in their shot.

Add in a better low light mode, an updated panorama mode, improved touch response and better media features, the update really extends the usefulness of Samsung’s bestselling Android smartphone.

Thanks Ben!
