Nokia E7 Starts Shipping In Selected Markets

Nokia has announced that its new business-centric smartphone, the Nokia E7, has started shipping to customers in selected markets with other markets due to follow soon.

We introduced you to the Nokia E7 back in September when the smartphone was unveiled at Nokia World. The device is solely aimed at business users, providing both a 4-inch touch display that can tilt, a full QWERTY keyboard, an 8 megapixel camera, 720p HD video, 16 GB of onboard storage and runs a finely tuned build of the Symbian^3 operating system.

The E7 is the Nokia Communicator reincarnated for 2011 – Outgoing executive Anssi Vanjoki referring to the device at the time as being “Biiiiiggggggg” (that’s big to you and me), beautiful and is solely designed for business, allowing owners to create and edit documents on the go.

The device is nearly as thin as the Nokia N8, and ships in the same colours as its older counterpart: dark grey, silver-white, blue, green and orange. The Nokia E7 was due to ship at the end of 2010 but slipped into the beginning of the new year, it will cost around €495.
