Microsoft’s Project Spartan browser is now available in the latest Windows 10 build

Microsoft’s Project Spartan browser is now available in the latest Windows 10 build

Microsoft’s long-awaited new browser is finally here for you to try. It just landed in the latest build of Windows 10 available to those in the “fast” track of updates for Windows Insiders.

The latest build number is 10049 and includes a preview version of the new browser, which means some features may be missing. According to Microsoft, this preview includes Cortana, ink support, readling list/reading view and the new Spartan rendering engine.

The company says that the preview is not a “ready-for-everyone” version of the browser yet and should be used with caution. It was only just made available for use internally at Microsoft, so the bits really are bleeding edge.

If you’re testing Windows 10, make sure you’re on the “faster” update track and head over to Windows Update to try it for yourself.
