Confirmed: Microsoft will hold its Build 2014 developer conference on April 2–4 in San Francisco

Microsoft will hold its annual Build developer conference in San Francisco between April 2nd and the 4th in the Moscone Center next year.

Registration will open on January 14 at 9am PT, so be sure to make a note in your virtual or physical diary if you plan on snapping up some tickets. They’ll cost $2095 each, according to the official Build 2014 website.

The event will be used to discuss what’s next for Windows and Windows Phone, its crucial hardware platforms, as well as Windows Azure, Windows Server and Visual Studio, Microsoft’s Steve Guggenheimer said in a blog post.

Microsoft’s news site revealed the Build 2014 date and venue yesterday, but then pulled it again following some initial press coverage. It’s not like we ever doubted those details, but at least it’s now been confirmed.
