Microsoft brings back YouTube app for Windows Phone after working with Google to enable ads

Microsoft and Google had a bit of a row in May over a Microsoft-developed YouTube app for Windows Phone. The two then put their heads together and are now back with an updated app that mollifies Google’s complaints and enables advertising, as noted by The Verge.

So. Much. Tech.

Some of the biggest names in tech are coming to TNW Conference in Amsterdam this May.

When Microsoft first released the redesign of its YouTube app in May, Google sent the company a cease-and-desist letter over violations to the video service’s terms of service. Microsoft subsequently rolled back to the earlier version and announced that it was working with Google to address the concerns. The result of that collaboration is rolling out to the Windows Phone Store today with support for Live Tile pinning and managing uploads.
