Last week, we told you about Microsoft’s big Office 2013 announcement. Overall, the suite of apps look like an impressive upgrade, and the addition of social and collaboration features were all over the place.

One of those social features was announced today by business networking service LinkedIn. The company shared that with the new version of Microsoft Office, you’ll be able to connect to your LinkedIn account with one click and no need to download any extra software.

…you just have to sign-in once with your LinkedIn credentials and immediately you’ll start seeing rich profile information, like photos and LinkedIn network activity for any connection that emails you. You’ll also see LinkedIn profile data surface when you view a People Card throughout the new Office experience.

Considering that most of Microsoft Office is geared toward professional use, it would make sense that a LinkedIn integration is placed front-and-center.
