Rumours posted last week that suggested a Windows Phone 7 handset, namely the HTC 7 Trophy, were to launch on Verizon in March have seemingly been confirmed after a the device was spotted in the wild featuring Verizon branding.
It is thought that Verizon officials could announce availability of the handset as soon as February 28, offering the HTC 7 Trophy as its first Windows Phone 7 device at $200 on a 24-month contract.
Engadget got hold of the image, which shows a prominent Verizon logo at the top, coupled with red branding on the lock screen. According to the tipster, the device is already running Microsoft’s “NoDo” update which enables copy/paste functionality and a number of bugfixes and features red detailing on the reverse side of the handset.
We expect the handset to be officially announced soon, we will of course let you know when it is.
