Ballmer: Facebook is worth what investors will pay and Kinect is for girls

Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer is always an entertaining person to listen to. Whether you love or hate his work, the man has a forceful personality that imbues his words with enough conviction to keep anyone interested.

The USA Today was granted an interview with the man himself, and we have taken the time to extract the best, and juiciest quotes for you to enjoy. If you wish, you can read the full interview here.

On the Xbox 360:

Xbox isn’t a gaming console. Xbox is a family entertainment center. It’s a place to socialize. It’s a place to watch TV. We have Hulu coming. It’s the only system where you are the controller. Your voice, your gestures, your body.

On Kinect:

I want that average 15-year-old girl […] excited about the Kinect.

On Facebook’s valuation:

It’s worth exactly what investors will pay for it. They’re a great partner, and I love them.

On Bing’s Growth:

We bet on Bing and are growing like a weed.

What is coming next:

People will focus on two things: natural user interface and the Cloud, with natural interface meaning voice, touch, vision recognition.

And while you may suspect that we love to cover anything Ballmer related merely to have the excuse of using one of the myriad comical pictures of him, we promise that we are in no way swayed by such frivolity.

Ballmer seems to be in high spirits, and deservedly so. Now, he just needs to get that stock price moving.
