Glastonbury cam from the BBC gives you a bird’s eye view of the festival

If you’re far, far away from the fields of Worthy Farm, but still want to get a look at the huge tent city that springs up for the Glastonbury Festival, which kicks off properly today, here’s the answer: The BBC’s Glastonbury Webcam.

Using a camera perched high on one of the farm’s barns, it captures a panoramic view of the whole site, which you can explore with or without map pins showing the most important features.

There’s also the option to travel in time and see snapshots taken across the day, so you can look at in the peaceful hours around sunrise or in the middle of the mayhem during Florence & The Machine’s headline set.

If you actually want to watch the music – and are in the UK – the BBC has extensive online coverage.
