Amazon picked the right week to release a commentary track for Transparent

Amazon has picked the right week to release the commentary track for Transparent, its original series about a transgender parent.

Two days after Caitlyn Jenner revealed herself to the world – and on the same day she premiered the trailer for her inevitable reality show – the issues covered by the series are firmly in the news.

The audio commentary is available to Amazon Prime members in the US and UK online or via the Amazon Instant Video apps.

It features show creator Jill Soloway along with Jeffrey Tambor, Judith Light, Gaby Hoffman, Amy Landecker and Jay Duplass.

Soloway told Variety yesterday that she plans to incorporate Jenner’s story into the second season of Transparent, so it may be that Amazon Studios’ announcement timing was not a coincidence.
