‘Orange Is the New Black’ season two is now available on Netflix

‘Orange Is the New Black’ season two is now available on Netflix

Netflix has tried a number of original TV shows, but few have garnered the same critical acclaim as its political drama House of Cards. Orange is the New Black is arguably the closest in quality and is back today with a second 13-episode season.

For those that need a refresher, the comedy-drama centers on Piper Chapman, a new inmate at a women’s federal prison in New York. Season one focused on her initial trials and tribulations inside the jailhouse and relationship with Alex Vause, a former girlfriend and convicted drug dealer. The show has a stellar cast and each episode usually focuses on one or two inmates in particular, dissecting their past and how they ended up in prison.

Season one ended on a thrilling cliffhanger, so fans will be pleased to find out how the story continues. In typical Netflix fashion, the entire season is being released simultaneously – it’ll be available in all markets from June 6.
