Last week, we reported that American Airlines filed suit against Gogo, its in-flight Wi-Fi provider, over subpar internet speeds.
In the filing, American claimed to have found a better provider, ViaSat, and wanted to nullify its existing agreement with Gogo unless it could match the term and speeds of ViaSat.

American has dismissed the lawsuit without prejudice. If Gogo chooses to submit a proposal in response to a competitive offering, we will evaluate it.
From the sounds of that statement, it seems that American will still have the option to terminate its relationship with Gogo, but for now it’s willing to see if the newer 2Ku service is competitive with ViaSat.
