Ever since Apple Pay came to be, it’s seemed mobile payments are finally here to stay. Google is taking advantage of the renewed interest by breathing new life into its Wallet payment tool with some new merchant and platform partnerships.

The company today announced that it’s partnering with Seamless and Dunkin’ Donuts, who have integrated Google Wallet into their Android apps. You’ll now see the option to pay with your Google account when checking out along with any other payment methods.

Google also announced that it’s been integrated into merchant platforms Shopify, ChowNow and Shopgate, allowing any businesses that use those services to provide Wallet as a checkout option.

When Google Wallet was first released, businesses had middling support for NFC payments and consumer interest wasn’t really there. Times have changed since Apple Pay was announced, however, so business infrastructure and consumer awareness of mobile payments have both been improved.

Google also recently bought Softcard – previously owned by Verizon, T-Mobile and AT&T –  in a move to pre-install its software on more Android devices.
