Vine for Windows Phone finally gets loop counts, video imports and messaging

Vine users on Windows Phone 8.1, get ready for a big update. The newest version of the app will enable many features that have been missing for Windows users compared to their Android and iOS brethren.

Windows phone users are finally getting loop counts, so you can have a better sense of how popular a Vine actually is. The feature was first introduced for Android and iOS devices in July of last year.

You don’t have to shoot video right from the app anymore, as you can now use videos from your camera roll by clicking on the new import button on the bottom left corner of the shooting interface. You can also now change the order clips appear in your Vine or delete the ones you don’t want to use, or save your drafts to come back to them later.

Finally, the app now supports messaging, and a redesigned activity feed and color themes on profiles should make the interface a bit more pleasing, too.

While this update doesn’t introduce anything iOS and Android users haven’t had for a while, the feature parity is welcome nonetheless. You can download the app from the Windows Store now.
