Tesla is launching a new product line next month – that doesn’t involve cars

It seems like Tesla is about to start making more than just electric cars.

According to a tweet by CEO and founder Elon Musk, a new product line – one that doesn’t involve cars – will be unveiled on April 30th at 8PM, from Tesla’s Hawthorn Design Studio.

During a press call in February, Musk passingly mentioned that he was working on using Tesla’s battery technology to help power homes. That seems like a good candidate for this reveal, given it would simply be a reapplication of the research the company has already done for car batteries. In any case, we’ll surely find out more a month from now.
