New Windows 10 build arrives next week, first build of Windows 10 for mobile in February

At its event today, Microsoft announced a new build of its Windows 10 operating system will arrive next week via its Windows Insider program.

Meanwhile, the first demo of Windows 10 on mobile devices will be made available in February. This includes phones and tablets, although it focuses on devices with screen sizes of eight inches or less.

Windows 10 shares much of the same code across its different iterations, aiming for a consistent design regardless of whether you’re using a phone or a desktop. This is helped in large part by new universal apps that can run identical code on different platforms. The apps simply format themselves differently depending on the hardware they’re being used on.
