Self-improvement startup Lift.do is now Coach.me, reflecting renewed focus on personal coaching

Sometimes startups have to go through name changes before they truly hit their stride. For Lift.do, the self-improvement and motivation app, that change comes today: it’s now known as Coach.me.

The new name reflects an updated focus and business model. While the ability to set personal goals and work on revamping your habits through a social to-do list is still very much at the core of the software, it now emphasizes personal coaching.

The company introduced coaches almost a year ago 1-on-1 daily coaching earlier this month.

In fact, Coach.me is aiming to become a platform for both users trying to improve their habits and coaches seeking customers. Coaches eager to try it out can already sign up for a waiting list to reserve their own coaching page.

There’s a secondary benefit to the name change: the service will no longer be confused with Lyft, or other similarly named apps.Pretty sure most taxi cabs don’t include life-coaching in their fee.
