Ethical clothing retailer Zady is launching its own label to promote the ‘slow fashion’ mantra

Environmentally-conscious online fashion retailer Zady is taking its business model a step further with the launch of its first own-label garment.

Now one year old, New York-based Zady preaches the mantra of sustainable, ‘slow fashion’. Its first item of clothing, a sweater, will be made of American wool and manufactured in Southern California using environmentally-friendly practices. The sweater, the first in what will be a series of own-label garments, will be on sale in time for the 2014 holiday season.
