Travel site Lonely Planet introduces its own flight search engine powered by Skyscanner

Lonely Planet has just become way more useful after it launched a new flight search engine today, in partnership with Skyscanner. This is the first time the travel guide publisher has hosted its own self-branded flight comparison engine, which is situated within the booking section of its site.

Skyscanner is providing the flight search capability to Lonely Planet, so this makes it more convenient for users who don’t have to exit the site in order to make a flight booking. Other than flights, Lonely Planet also lets you book hotels, car rentals, adventure tours and sightseeing tours right within its page.

Lonely Planet now boasts information on 27,000 destinations and over 1.3 million members, who will no doubt find this new feature a welcome addition.
