Amazon Prime offers two-day delivery for orders shipped to the UK from inside Europe

Amazon Prime offers two-day delivery for orders shipped to the UK from inside Europe

Subscribe to Amazon Prime in the UK? Moving forward, you might notice that some of your orders are being delivered in record-time.

A sponsored post on The Telegraph, spotted today by Engadget, reveals that Amazon is offering two-day delivery for products stored in its European fulfilment centres. Over 3 million products will be eligible “by the end of this year” and for comparison, the online retailer previously promised three to seven days for Prime deliveries shipped to the UK from inside Europe.

The speedy delivery times are a result of “innovations in its cross border delivery network,” Amazon said. It comes at no extra charge for Prime subscribers and more than a million products are currently supported. In addition, independent UK sellers that use the company’s Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA) service will also benefit from the new two-day delivery for European deliveries.
