BitTorrent is calling for Sync community testers ahead of significant client update

BitTorrent is launching a Community Testers Program for its multi-platform file synchronization tool Sync to get feedback ahead of a significant update scheduled for release later this summer.

Announced today in a blog post, the program will give interested users the chance to play with the new Sync client before it is released more widely. Among the features currently all but confirmed for the update are a redesigned UI, the ability to share files by sending a clickable link and the option to share files from Finder and Windows Explorer.

However, don’t get too attached to what you see in the alpha version as some of the other new features might not make the cut, which is pretty much the point of the Community Testers Program. If you’re interested in becoming an early tester, you’ll need to fill out this survey for the chance to receive an invite.
