After introducing the feature for its mobile apps in April, Pinterest is now rolling out its discovery-focused Guided Search feature on the Web.
After completing your first search query, you’ll now see a row of rectangular buttons on the top, suggesting related or refined terms. The aim is to guide you to other “pins” uploaded by the community – either because you want to keep exploring, or need help specifying what you’re really looking for.
It’s fairly straight-forward and to mark the occasion, Pinterest has made its search bar “front and center” for an even faster search experience. When you begin typing in the search feed, you’ll also see a redesigned section underneath that filters results by pins, boards and other Pinterest users.
Guided Search is rolling out in English over the next few weeks – Pinterest plans to support additional languages in the future.
