Amazon reportedly adding music streaming to Prime this summer

Amazon reportedly adding music streaming to Prime this summer

Amazon is gearing up to add music streaming to its Prime offering as early as June or July, BuzzFeed reports. Before you get too excited, the selection is said to only include songs that are at least six months old.

With Apple now jumping into streaming music through its Beats acquisition, this should be an interesting year for the space. According to the report, the service already has deals with two of the three major music labels, as well as a number of independent record companies.
