Nike+ FuelBand SE unveiled ahead of November 6 launch, it’s hitting 3 new countries too

It’s been less than a week since the Fitbit Force was unveiled, but Nike has already retaliated by unveiling the next version of its popular FuelBand fitness-tracker, called the Nike+ FuelBand SE. Progress is tracked via NikeFuel, the all-encompassing metric for analyzing how much exercise the user does each day.

The first images show a series of black devices that look remarkably similar to the original FuelBand, although this time they’ve been accentuated with either a yellow, pink or red stripe on the inside – or as Nike puts it, “Volt, Pink Foil or Total Crimson”.

So. Much. Tech.

Some of the biggest names in tech are coming to TNW Conference in Amsterdam this May.

Bluetooth 4.0 also connects the FuelBand SE automatically with the Nike+ FuelBand app (still missing from Android), while it also features “improved” water resistance. It will be available from November 6 in the current Nike+ FuelBand countries – the US, Canada, and the UK, though France, Germany and Japan will also be added for this refresh. It will cost $149, or the local currency equivalent.

A limited time pre-order also kicks off today in the US, UK, France and Germany.
