Flipboard denies losing users’ Google Reader data, but it is experiencing technical issues that will ‘work soon’

Following reports that Flipboard had lost data when on-boarding Google Reader users, the company has come forward to say that a temporary technical issue is to blame and that your feeds and folders are safe.

This news should help put the minds of former Google Reader users at ease. Now that Google’s service has completely shut down, many die-hards are still searching for the perfect replacement. Clearly, Flipboard stands to gain quite a bit from Google Reader’s demise.

Here’s Flipboard’s tweet announcing the update:

Flipboard tells us that nothing was lost: “At the moment, only the summary feed called “All Feeds” is not working for everyone. Our team is looking into this to have to working again soon.”
