Espoo, Finland-based software company Rightware, which delivers embedded user interface (UI) software and performance benchmarking tools to the mobile, consumer electronics and automotive industries, today announced that it has raised $5.2 million in fresh funding.
The money will be used to boost the company’s sales efforts as well as the continued development of its Kanzi UI Solution, which enables companies to rapidly design and deploy 3D and 2D user interfaces.
Rightware’s embedded user interface software suite is already in use by car manufacturers like Audi, and supported by leading chip companies such as Freescale Semiconductor.
With the fresh capital infusion, Rightware says it wants to start addressing new and emerging markets such as the entertainment, mobile, tablet, smart TVs and other embedded verticals.
Aside from Kanzi UI, its product portfolio includes the Basemark product family for various industry-standard benchmarking purposes, including for Android, Linux, and Windows Mobile performance measurement.
