SocialExpress raises $320,000 to bolster its social media reporting tool

SocialExpress, a fledgling Belgian-Dutch company that offers small businesses and marketers online tools to generate custom social media reports, has raised 250,000 euros (roughly $320,000) in seed funding.

The startup, founded by 24-year old Belgian Ivo Minjauw (pictured below, right) in his dorm room in Kortrijk about a year ago, essentially helps users efficiently report insights about relevant conversations happening on the social Web to all stakeholders within their company.

SocialExpress lets social media managers and marketers piece together visually appealing reports, based on chatter on services like Facebook and Twitter, with the ease of drag-and-drop functionality in a cloud-based environment. The product also integrates with existing social CRM platforms such as Salesforce Radian6 and TwitSpark.

Among the company’s pilot customers is major Dutch bank ABN AMRO.

The company graduated from pan-European startup accelerator Startupbootcamp (Amsterdam) and has now raised its first round of financing from a group of angel investors, including Exact Software veterans Arco Van Nieuwland and Lucas Brentjens, and LUMA Marketing Technologies founder and CEO Kristof Vereenooghe.
