Three former Right Media / Yahoo executives who went on to start a new startup called GuideMe have recently called it quits and have since decided to refocus on a new digital venture dubbed Fantuition, which is basically building a new take on Facebook-leveraged fantasy games by letting people compete with friends on the topics they are passionate about – ranging from sports to their favorite TV shows.
Michael Walrath, formerly CEO of Right Media and SVP at Yahoo, is behind Fantuition along with former VP, B2B Marketing at Yahoo Pat McCarthy and Joe Garstka. According to two separate SEC filings (1 and 2), they’ve already raised close to $1.4 million for the new venture.
So. Much. Tech.
Some of the biggest names in tech are coming to TNW Conference in Amsterdam this May.
According to its website, Fantuition’s seed financing comes from WGI Fund and AppNexus CEO Brian O’Kelly (who previously served as CTO of Right Media).
There’s a bit more information about Fantuition on AngelList.
