Google Search is now translating foreign words whether you like it or not

Google Search is now translating words for you, which is handy unless you just don’t care to see the translated text.

The search feature only happens if you query a word not in your native tongue. For instance, searching for ‘gracias’ returned a translation to English for me (‘thank you,’ obviously) but searching for ‘thank you’ offered up no such translation.

It only seems to work for certain words or phrases, and won’t apply for longer strings of text.

Once Google does translate the text text, you can take advantage of all languages its translation engine supports; if you were ever curious how ‘gracias’ ends up translating to Pashto, Search can now help you out.
