It’s time for the ICC World Twenty20 cricket tournament and Google is gearing up for it with an interesting new search feature.

When you search for cricket and Twenty20-related terms and the names of teams and players during and after matches, it will serve up real-time commentary in search results, from cricket greats like Akash Chopra and Boria Majumdar.

New York, are you ready?

We’re building Momentum: an all killer, no filler event this November.

Google will also show you posts, match photos and videos directly from players when you search for them.

The company says it’s running trials of these experimental features only during this tournament for the time being, which means it might be a while before they become available for other sports and events.

The new features build on Google’s effort to create a better search experience for sports fans; last week, it added support for real-time score updates that refreshed themselves on results pages.
