Android 5.1 is rolling out today with multiple SIM support, HD voice and more

Google today confirmed on its blog that it is rolling out Android 5.1, an update to Lollipop, to compatible phones today.

The update comes with a number of bug fixes and minor new features like ‘Device Protection’ integration which helps manage or track lost or stolen devices remotely. Google has also added High Definition calling support for compatible devices like the Nexus 6.

There are a number of smaller tweaks onboard too, such as faster ways to join Wi-Fi or pair with Bluetooth devices. Lollipop is also now compatible with devices that have multiple SIM slots.

If you’re on a Nexus 6 you should see the update available soon, with other devices getting it as the company rolls out the update.
