Google Contacts now has a smarter ‘find duplicates’ feature, which makes it easier to clean up your contacts. The service also now automatically pulls in the latest information from Google profiles to keep everything up to date, like job titles, profile photos and email addresses.

When adding a new contact, the service automatically looks up the information, based on their Google profile, so it can fill in as much as possible.
