Android Lollipop is now rolling out for Nexus devices

Google announced this morning that Android Lollipop (5.0) has begun to roll out for Nexus devices over the air and will be available very soon.

The devices we know are supported include the Nexus 4, 5, 6 and 7, but it’s not yet clear which other devices will get the update. Factory images for devices are also available Android Developers site right now if you can’t wait for the OTA.

Google’s timeframe on when you’ll actually see the update prompt is in the “coming weeks,” which is typically vague.

Lollipop features an all new look with Material Design, better power saving features, improved notifications and more. If you’re using a newer Nexus device, you should see the update prompt in the very near future. In the meantime, keep hitting that ‘check updates’ button!
