Google Play Movies has landed in another 21 countries, bringing the service’s availability to 90 markets. This gives even more movie fans the chance to purchase and rent both classic flicks and the latest blockbusters.
Android Police spotted the new additions to the list where Google Play Movies is available — including Greece, Thailand, Poland, Croatia and Laos. Google Thailand has already announced this on its blog, and we expect that a full announcement for all the new countries will be made soon.
The company has been increasing its efforts to promote its Google Play services, partly to support the international push of its Chromecast streaming dongle — which landed in six new countries last month, bringing its total availability to 18 countries. However, TV shows are currently available in only five markets: Australia, Japan, the US, UK and Canada.
