As promised, you can now share your favorite apps from the Chrome Web Store to Google+

When we spoke to the Chrome team way back in April, they hinted that Google+ would become a bigger part of the Chrome Web Store experience, and today they followed through.

Here’s what the Chrome team had to say about it:

Starting today, the Chrome Web Store helps you do just that. You can now share all of your favorite Chrome Web Store items with people in your Google+ circles by finding them in the Chrome Web Store and clicking the +1 button located in their store detail page.

You can also review app, extension and theme recommendations from anyone in your Google+ circles simply by clicking on the “From your circles” link, located in the left category menu in the Chrome Web Store. And for those of you who are relatively new to Google+, we’ve also included suggestions from some of us in the Chrome team.

To make finding the right app even easier, all apps that have been +1’d by someone in your circles will be indicated as such throughout the Chrome Web Store, helping you decide which apps to install.

By sharing these items back and forth with the Google+ platform, developers are going to start seeing an influx of new users, reviews and hopefully long-term support for their projects.

While it took more than a few weeks, this is exactly what the Chrome team told us would happen in April:

…in the next few weeks, Chrome Web Store users will be able to see applications and extensions that have been +1d from people in the Google+ circles. To help people make the most out of this filter, we plan to recommend them to follow certain Google+ pages.
