The Google+ team reports two changes today with its service, including the ability to download full size photos, and adding your own comments to personalize games to go along with an improved Games stream. We’ve written about the Games update today.
Regarding photos, the team had this to say:
We’ve been listening to your feedback and, as of today, you can download full size photos! When viewing a photo in the lightbox photo viewer, click Actions. If the photo owner has allowed downloads, you will now see an option to Download Photo.
If you don’t want viewers to download your photos, click the gear icon on the top right corner of this screen, go to Google+ Settings (https://plus.google.com/settings/plus) and uncheck the Allow viewers to download my photos checkbox.
Thanks & please keep the feedback coming.
So. Much. Tech.
Some of the biggest names in tech are coming to TNW Conference in Amsterdam this May.
With the photo actions tab, you can now download photo, get photo details, or report abuse. Downloading full size photos has been available on Facebook for some time, but this is obviously new to Google+
This shows that the Google+ team is using its own service to listen for feedback and then respond quickly with development. While some of these features may seem like “catch-up” when compared to Facebook, it looks like the team is rather listening to its users and developing what is needed, rather than just developing what is already out there.
