YouTube launches its movie rental service in Canada

Film fans in Canada, listen up. YouTube has announced you can access its movie rental service now, by visiting youtube.ca/movies.

There’s over 1,000 full-length feature films currently available to rent. Without listing them all, there’s Canuck classics such as Daydream Nation, Manufactured Landscapes or Hobo with a Shotgun are available, as well as global blockbusters such as The Adjustment Bureau and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1.

Film fans in the US have been able to rent movies for over a year, and back in April we announced that YouTube was bringing the major studios on board for its movie rental service. The Google-owned video-streaming website signed deals with Hollywood studios Warner Bros, Sony Pictures, Universal and Lionsgate.
